With my recent fascination of the 80's going on, i have been listening to a heap of punk music and watching as many of the punk movies that were made about that era as i can find..movies like The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, The Filth and the Fury, Punk: Attitude and Dogs in Space.
I have also been reading John Lydons (or Johnny Rotten to his mates) biography called Rotten : No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs and listening to a podcast with him from "AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion" which is on at the New York Museum of Metropolitan Art. Combine this with watching the interview with Malcolm McLaren on This Sparten Life (which is a brilliant idea for a show) and you can get a feel for what i'm into at the moment.
I especially love the little phrases these guys used at the time...like Johhny Rottens little catch cry..."Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?..." ;)
