I decided on moving the 1000km's south for a number of reasons...for a start i'm originally from Melbourne, so the move puts me closer to family and some of my closest friends (people i have known since i was 13)...there are also a whole heap of other reasons and of course one of them is The Podcast Network. My business partner (Cam) is in Melbourne and the tech and creative team are down there as well. Being close to them should make things easier as we move into an amazing next stage of the business.
I'll still be spending a bit of time in Sydney as a lot of the Australian head offices for the marketing and advertising firms i deal with are based in the harbour side town...I am also speaking at a number of conferences in Sydney early next year and somehow i have become a whore for the Sydney conference industry over the last few months (plus..i enjpoy a good conference)...and last but not least..i have made a lot of good friends in the ten years i have been living in Sydney and thats a good enough reason in itself to travel back there as often as i can.
I'm on track to be in Mebourne from just before xmas (around the 21st of Dec i think)...so 2006 is going to be made even more interesting as i re-discover the joys of a home town that i haven't lived in for over a decade.
Plus...as they say...a change is as good as a holiday :)
