The AFR covers the internet...1995 to 2005
The
Australian Financial Review (Australia's daily business and finance orientated newspaper), has a 12 page special today titled "Internet: 1995-2005".
It covers a whole heap of interesting things and it has to be the best coverage given to the internet (in the traditional media) in Australia since the dot-com days. It's giving me strange feelings of de-ja-vu though ;)
It has stories with headings such as:
- Delirous rise of dotcom fever
- Web-linked shoes? It's all coming
- E-volution: you ain't seen nothin' net
- Cyber attackers using trojan emails
- Float fad sinks as boutiques shut doors
- Google starts search for mew worlds to conquer
- Centerlink to trial private-public link
- Phase one of revolution
- Technology's next big step, making it less technical
- Microsoft's all-in-one vision
- City provides free wi-fi access
- Google launches second desktop salvo at search rivals
- Bubble burst but glory remains, says Cisco
- Savvy firms catch profits in their web
- Working towards a wired world
- Explorer has more address sense after makeover
- Dotcoms recycle an old technique (look for my quotes)
- Call to free telcos for net gain
- Internet cops arrest Sister
- How the broadband race was one
- Born globals give Skippy the flick
- Booed for all to see - from cyberspace
- eBay trades on community's passion for success
- Potent blend comes to the boil
Thats a lot of stuff...Mark has been a busy boy lately.
Oh yeah...don't try and find the articles on the AFR website though...subscription only :(
