Listen to The Podcast Network on your Windows Media Center

Ian Dixon, the host of The Media Center Show over at The Podcast Network, has created a great little app that will allow you to listen (and watch eventually) to any and all of The Podcast Network channels on a Windows Media Center Editon PC.

Today The Podcast Network and I have launched a beta version of the Podcast Network on Media Center.

It’s an addin for Window Media Center that enables you to listen to any of the Podcast Network shows (including The Media Center Show of course) on your Media Center PC with the remote.

All you have to do is download the very small installer (http://iandixon.co.uk/rss/tpn.zip) extract the two files and run the install.bat file.

Then a shortcut to The Podcast Network will be created under More Programs and the Radio section on Media Center. You can then use the remote to navigate round the TPN site and stream the Podcasts straight to your Media Center PC

It’s in Beta at the moment so if you find any problems or have any suggestions please go to the support forum at http://iandixon.co.uk/CS/forums/18/ShowForum.aspx

The site is powered by mNewsCenter which as a RSS reader and Podcast listener for Windows Media Center which you install on your MCE PC and you can customize it to use what ever RSS feed you like (a demo is available for download from Embedded Automation)
