If you are using RM netowrk then u can install msn but u need to download it from microsoft.com
now usually u cant download from here due to the filter, although if u download msn from microsoft.com at home, put it on a disk and bring it in to school. Theoretically it should work.
Or just download "Trillian" (search it in google) it is a program that u can use to log in to any messenger program. k thx bye xxx

if ur school hasnt blocke it go to thevirtualbrowser.com and then you can surf to a webmessenger site from there. hope this works for u. also if u want a program that u can download, search gaim in google, and the second link is the one you want. download it and run it, and it is a msn, yahoo, and aim instant messenger all in one. in my experience it is usually unblocked

You see the trick with e-messenger is, it has at least 100's of differnt countries, the school cant possible take overnight to block them all.
If you try logging in, and it has the sodding BLOCKED sign on the webpage, dont panic my friends.

Just cancel the e-messenger box, and retry it again, each time it retries, it checks which ones are avalable and which ones are not. So keep trying and it will eventually allow you on some e-messenger.

I know a site that might be blocked pretty quickly but theres a easy way around it everything you use http://www.freepgs.com/defilter make sure you go Tools, Options Clear History when you have done that you gotta make sure it has cleared so click on the clock with the arrow going anti clockwise and make sure all if it is gone if it is your clear make sure everytime you use it it is gone and you should be alright so if it doesn't work or alright has been blocked then use a different proxy for a while till they block that off ;)

i worked out a handy little way of bypassing school networks which block websites. if you go onto google and click language tools type the web address into the ''translate webpage'' bit and click german to english. voila! access to pretty much all blocked websites you can find. enjoy.

Jesus christ guys, MSN ain't that important! I made it through college without it! Firstly learn to spell, then to read everyones questions / answers before you ask the same question over and over again.

Rite, basically, to use MSN at school you can use any of the above sites that people have so painfully listed, or, as 1 guy says, bring the prog in on a usb device - tho DO NOT bring in the installer, you will need to install the program the device itself, just watch out for root files and externals etc. Secondly, if you want to see if people are blocking you...

Ok, now your MSN will be fully modded up and you can do lots of things like imitate your mates, see if anyone has blocked you or deleted you (and then talk to them despite being blocked), show when anyone opens or cloces a convorsation box with you, and a tons of other stuff. OK guys...i don't have a problem with you all using my site to try and work out how to get around schools that are trying to block your use of MSN Messenger...good luck to you all...but i will be killing/editing all comments that have swearing or foul language in them.

Certain words are included in "filters" that IT departments put into the machines that allow peple to access web sites at work and at home. If the machines pick up those words, the site is not allowed through...therefore poeple can not view this site.

Thats the way it goes...sorry.

well the best messenger site is.... online messenger.nl log in and it should work if you wanna get on to most un filterd web site... (you can only look at contnt not log in or anything...) go on to google and click on the translate thing and you type in the addy and click on translate and it should unfilter it.

all very interesting reading your comments about blocking messenger and web-messenger.

I work for a market leading web-filtering companmy and if you think you can install messenger without it being blocked you may be wrong. It can be blocked at the protocol (this means that tunneled traffic, even HTML tunneled can be read and blocked), also all of the sites listed above are blocked by our software...

you may ask why? well using messenger drains your energy that should be used for working hard at school so you can have good jobs and give good futures to your children who will have all their messenger blocked as well and so on and so forth....

Its boring but makes sense... when i was at school we didnt even have the internet so be GRATEFULL!!!!

You can never truly beat the system, we have 100's of millions of $ invested to stop you and you have your lunch money!!

By the way...I can use messenger!!

I AM 16 Years Old and have been able to hack for 6 years. I Know the admin password to my schools system and understand COMPLETELY how it works. I also know what area your message was posted from and where your current location is.
How could you say that we will never win if we know stuff like this. The easiest way is to build your own website and get it cloaked. Change the address every week so the system cannot catch on to it. Also, dont let too many people know the address, enjoy!

Yeah the RM solution has not been developed for very long and offers a very cheap and cheerfull solution to what is in fact a very complicated and difficult problem.

The quality and size of any URL filtering database affects the filtering to a massive extent as if they dont have the particualar instant messaging website then they cant block it.

Keep getting around RMs poor attempt at blocking IM sites and they'll soon buy something else that works.

The people who put this type of thing in tend to want something which you just plug in and itr works to mainly block porn etc...instant messaging is not always their highest concern.

I can still use MSN but it does drain my productivity and when im busy i dont sign in.

Have fun and keep seaching for the sites we have missed and so will we!!!

best way u cn go is get 2 all da sites that r blocked thru ghost sites; stuff like www.vtunnel.com. they make ur proxy (or sumthng like dat) anonymous, so ur skl cn't c which site u go on 2. lol hope dat wrks 4 u guyz.

Try using www25.meebo.com I used it at work for a while, then too meny people started using it. The trick to keep from getting the site blocked is too deleate you cookies and temp files as well as you history, right after you sign on and after you sign off. Oh yeah and don't tell alot of people around you...its always somebody else getting you blocked....IF YA DON"T WANT IT BLOCKED DELEATE YOU SHIT !!!! and is suggestable not to swear in the chat...that can get your IP logged

I am 17 years old and am in high school and have used msn messenger at my school so many times. The firewall is fortigaurd ( top of the line ) and it is so easy toget by. Either click on the start menu...then run...the type in command...(a box should appear)... now type in ping ( and the address of the site you wish to visit here without the brackets)... this is one way because almost all firewalls use the name of the site to determine the rating... if there is no name and only a number the firewall shouldn't be able to predict the rating! theres one way... A second is to use proxy servers... www.evilsprouts.co.uk is a web based client that allows you to search the web using there site... i reccommend using proxy servers... you can also hack... go to www.happyhacker.com sometime and read or print guides on how to hack firewalls... this is one of the most effective methods... If you can learn to hack than you access to the web is unstoppable... Its funny to see how pissed the network adminstrator gets when theres a hacker in the system that is shutting down his firewall...( i did it so many times)... Programs available are linux and unix... you need to setup a shell account and you can use thes programs... I STRONGLY RECCOMEND LINUX... LINUX can hack almost anything,if you know how to use it...I'll post again... p.s. if you want more information post messages that start with HACKANDCRACK and ill read them and respond... lol this site also does not have a good security system... Splatt LMFAO... pathetic... i could shut down your site.. learn to encrypt because it help protect your computer...SINCERELY

First of your schools internet connection is there for school use and if want to do personnel stuff then use a home connection.

For those in boarding schools take it in adult way with school and they might relax for filtering when out of schools hours.

Yeah thats all fine but ive found this lush thing called hopster. It blocks your computer from sending out an ip adress or something like that for certain programmes, such msn or windows messenger. However the free version cuts out occasionaly, every 30 mins or so and there is an advertisement window which you cant get rid of unless you pay for it. But its great because it works for everything, it even stops my dad's fancy system.

my mums friend put some sorta block on msn because she didnt want the younga kids usig it but we cant figure out whats shes done. we try to go on it and the troubleshoot sigh comes up can sum1 tel me whats shes done n help me to figure out how to get it off.

The MSN protocol is probably disabled, so it cant communicate on this frequency. She has probably done this at the router/broadband modem

Dont any of you think of usin a proxy website proxy websites use a different ip which means it can not be tracked and can not be bloked i always use www.liveoxy.com type in most watever your skool or work have blocked that you would like to go on and then you should be on that site it works for msn myspace anythin hope this is useful

Even proxy's are blocked!
Does ANYONE know a site that a school this persistant wouldn't even know to block... I have tried EVERYTHING on this site!
