Rain finally arrives

Its been raining on and off since Monday night and the direct threat of a bushfire reaching the house is now very unlikely :)

While both the North and South parts of the “Kilmore East – Murrindindi Complex” are still burning, they have both been marked as “contained” on the DSE website, and while the weather has no doubt played some part in this, the bulk of the thanks has to go to the ground and airbased firefighters that have done a great job preparing the area over the past few weeks.

Well done to all involved and its great see the lovely Upper Yarra Valley finally returning to normality.
