The Impossible Project

Posted by Mick (SplaTT) Stanic under: Photos .

In June 2008, Polaroid (wikipedia) stopped manufacturing film for their range of instant cameras as they changed focus to become a Consumer Electronics and Digital Imaging company. While digital cameras have almost completed the transition for most people away from film, the instant Polaroid camera holds a sweet spot with a lot of people…including me.

Well…a group of individuals with the support of Harmen Technology / Ilford Photo have formed a business called “Impossible b.v.” and they have purchased all of Polaroids working manufacturing equipment and leased the Polaroid production factory in the Netherlands.

Their plan is to develop a new product for the integral film market by 2010. You can find out more at The Impossible Project website.

Good luck guys :)
