Warburton Winterfest 2007
Posted by Mick (SplaTT) Stanic under: Events; Mountains; Upper Yarra Valley .
The 2007 version of the long running Warburton Winterfest starts tonight and runs till Sunday afternoon in the lovely township of Warburton, which is located in the gorgeous Upper Yarra Valley at the base of Mt Donna Buang (the closest “tourist snow” mountain to Melbourne).
A carnival, plays, music, dance shows, DJ’s, free family movies, a croquet match, a street fiesta (with the Sooper Dooper Circus Fire Spectacular), multimedia performances, puppet making classes and master woodworkers are just a part of whats on, so check out the Warburton Winterfest 2007 program (local PDF copy) for more info and then cruise on up to Warburton for a great (and cold) weekend.
PS. I’ll be wandering around taking photos for most of the weekend so don’t be to shy when you see the lens :)
PPS. You can find the photos in this set over at my Flickr site.

Hi Mick
I noticed that you took a lot of pictures of the Winterfest in previous years. Would you consider taking photos for this year? I would like to have a chat with you on this. You can email me to discuss this. Hear from you soon. Cheers, Richard
