Update time…
Episode 4 :: The Atlas Mountains
8pm – 29nd of September 2006 on SBS
The traditional home and sanctuary of the mountain Berbers reveals itself as one of the most dramatically beautiful destinations anywhere.
On the highest mountain in North Africa a mule is better than a four wheel drive and world famous carpets are made between household chores, a Kasbah comes back to life and a conical clay pot is the most essential piece of equipment in every kitchen.

Dear Barry and team,
My husband and I loved your series, but missed a few in the series. Is it possible to purchase a copy of the whole series?
I was in Damascus recently, teaching at the British Council and got to see a bit of Syria, so it was thrilling for me to see it presented in your series as I remember it – colourful, exciting and very welcoming. It is such a pity that it is a part of the world that so few people have any contact with and which is getting such a bad name.
Hope you do go back there with your family. I certainly plan to return and have this dream of doing a documentary of interviews with Syrian women. Is that something you could work on?
Again, thank you for such an interesting,well-presented programme.
Cheers,
Susan
