$9,000,000 worth of Halo 2 sold in Australia in 1 week…

According to this news item on the Australian XBOX site, first week sales of Halo 2 in Australia totalled just over 104,000 units for a grand sum of $9 million dollars. Its nearest competitor in the game market had notched up around 38,000 less units sold in the same amount of time.

Not only did Halo 2 generate amazing sales in its first week, but it also had a huge impact on XBOX Live subscriptions as well…XBOX Live sales increased 10 fold in one week…WOW

Microsoft wins…Bungie wins…the gamers win… :)
