New MSN Music Store coming to Australia…maybe….
Posted by Mick (SplaTT) Stanic under: Microsoft .
Looks like the new MSN Music store which is integrated with Windows Media Player 10 may be getting close to launch in Australia. If you click on the buy music tab in Media Player 10, you now get the option to select either Court TV Video (as Rove would say…what the…) or nineMSN music.
Court TV Video actually come up with a page and works, but nineMSN music comes up with an “Error contacting Service” message…I wonder if the credits i have on the current nineMSN / OD2 music service (which appears to be not working at the moment) will get carried over to the new service??? I hope so…
ADDITION: I was right…checked the service just now through MP10 and its up and working. They also appear to have a radio and video channel setup and it still looks like it is powered by OD2 in the background. About to try my old login and see if credits have been transfered to the new system….and…it works fine..all my old credits are in the system. They do need to do something about the navigating around artists and albums…not the smartest system in the world. Yes its simple, but not really intuitive. Anyway….lots to look at and discover. :)
It seems a lot has been going on in the MSN music world…check out the transcript of BillG’s presentation today.
