Gnomedex 4….the geeks may be going wild at the venue..but this geek is getting tired

It’s been great being able to listen to the live audio stream from Chris Pirillo’s Gnomedex 4 at Lake Tahoe courtesy of IT Conversations…but the time difference is killing me :(
I ended up staying awake all of last night because by the time you take into account the time difference between Sydny and Lake Tahoe, when they started with the first session at 9am on Friday their time..it was 2am in the morning on Saturday over here…and by the time it was finished it was 10.30am…
But the sessions were great..the future of securty, maximising your blogging strategies, the keynote by Steve Wozniak and the maximising you digital lifestyle panel headed up by Eric Rice were fantastic to listen to you…you have to love the technology available to us when i can sit in Sydney and listen to a conference on the other side of the world. It got even better when i had to leave the house and continued streaming the audio to my i-mate PocketPC over the GPRS network…bit of a drop in quality but still OK.
I even managed to log into the IRC backchannel (#gnomedex on a freenode IRC server) and took part in a bit of lively banter with the other participants.
But now its time to go to bed…its ony 10.30pm but i need to get up at 4am so i can listen to todays sessions…the future of online content, Will Wheaton :) and the future of online advertising.
Next year i’m definately going over to the US for Gnomedex 5.
