Sitting in the MDC session

The first session of the Australian 2004 Microsoft Mobile Developers Conference (MDC) just finished, people have had their coffee and cake, and they are starting to come back in to the main ballroom for the next round of sessions.

The opening keynote by Mark Spain was interesting and was memorable for the line, “You guys just open the box and the partying begins” (reference to developeres and techy people not reading manuals and the ease of use of Windows Mobile Devices). His keynote was broken up by James Pratt creating the “MDC blogging” tool live on stage (just like they did at MDC San Francisco) as well as a great demo on SQL and Visual Studio 2005…..nice…The morning session was finshed up with a quick panel of Microsoft Redmond guys answering a few question..

I’m sitting in the next session which is about building mobile apps with asp.net mobile controls..more later..
